This year we witnessed lives freed from the bondage of addiction through real encounters with Jesus. We consider this ministry to be much more than a residential program—we are a family of believers being discipled in the ways of the Lord.
Throughout 2022, we saw evidence of hearts changed. Men and women are being restored to their families, learning healthy boundaries, becoming responsible citizens, staying consistent in employment and maturing in Christ.
Our residential programs served a total of 116 individuals, with 35 of those graduating this year. We also had the joy of baptizing 78 new believers! In our outpatient program, 23 of 49 participants completed the full eight weeks of counseling and recovery services.
“Big Fish has shown me the ultimate kind of love. They give you a place to find comfort and freedom. Since I have been here, I have found the courage to fight back, conquer my fears, regain my strength and walk in purpose. And through it all, I was never alone. They stood in the gap and prayed for me every step of the way. When the world would have pushed me away, this program hugged me. Most of all, I found the mercy and grace of Jesus here.”

“When I first came to Big Fish, I was desperate and alone. I felt like I had no hope or direction and was hesitant to believe there was anything good for me in this world. During my stay in the program, I got to know the love of God through the people He placed in my life. They guided me through some of the hardest things and rejoiced with me in the best of things. I learned how to walk in the Spirit and found the calling God has placed on my life. I now have a heart full of hope, a clear vision of a future blessed by God, and no fear of the enemy or what he can do. My God is sovereign and all-powerful. Coming to Big Fish was the best decision I have ever made. I now have a life full of friends, family and the presence of God. He is so good, and He truly is with this ministry.”

Through triumphs, joy, challenges, setbacks, laughter and tears, we have seen miracles happen in our midst. Not only have our students grown spiritually, but our staff continues to learn and grow together, as well. We are humbled and grateful to be a part of what the Lord is doing in this ministry, and we look forward to what He has in store for 2023.
Thank you to everyone who invested in the work of our Christ-centered recovery ministry last year! You are making an eternal impact!
