One year ago today, Big Fish Ministries began helping women in our community start their journey to recovery. Since then, 47 women have received the life-changing, faith-based recovery services available through our ministry. At this time, all of our beds are filled and there is currently a wait list for our women’s campus.
We are committed to offering a safe, peaceful, home-like environment that fosters healing and promotes growth. Women’s recovery services include: recovery classes, Biblical counseling, Biblical teaching, case management, educational assistance, life-skills training, and legal advocacy.
Our Women’s Program Director, Brittany Renkenberger, who provides therapeutic services for our female residents, is a licensed Social Worker with over a decade of experience in working with women struggling with addictions/mental health issues and trauma-informed care. We are grateful for her leadership and all of the countless hours she and her team have invested in helping women fully experience the true freedom that is found in Christ.
We will also begin building a transitional house to provide continued support to our women’s program graduates who need additional assistance with establishing a stable living environment and transitioning back into society as productive citizens. Please consider giving towards this initiative that is needed so desperately in the Baldwin County community.
