This month, we’re celebrating seven years of restoring hope and rebuilding broken lives through Christ-centered recovery solutions at Big Fish Ministries (BFM).
Despite the global pandemic that has been difficult for so many ministries to navigate, we are humbled to share the following praiseworthy results, just from 2020:
- 145 Program Participants
- 34,560 Meals Served
- 11,680 Nights of Shelter
- 1,664 Counseling Sessions
- 730 Education Hours
These numbers are so encouraging because each one represents a testimony.
“We don’t believe ‘Once an addict, always an addict,'” said Isaac Stooksberry, BFM Founder & Executive Director. “We believe that there is lasting freedom available through Christ.”
Decades ago, Isaac himself was lost in addiction he met Christ and found freedom from addiction through a Christ-centered recovery program. As he found peace and freedom during his own recovery, Isaac felt the burden to share that freedom with other people struggling with addiction. After serving for a decade in residential recovery ministry, he founded BFM in April 2014.
Since it’s founding, the ministry has grown from leasing a small garage apartment to owning both facilities where the male and female program residents are housed, operating two thrift stores, serving hundreds of program participants, and providing over 100,000 meals to people in need.
God is truly faithful, and we’re so honored to partner with Him in the recovery and life transformation available in Jesus Christ. To learn more about our residential and outpatient recovery services, visit the “Get Help” page of our website.
