Recovery is more than simply overcoming addiction—it’s discovering new life through Christ and walking with confidence into God’s plans for your future.

We are so excited to announce the opening of Big Fish Ministries’ new Men’s Transition Home in Lillian, Alabama, which supports our mission of equipping men and women for lasting freedom in every step of their recovery journey.

This new home is tailored to graduates of our Christ-centered recovery program who are ready to take the next leap in their journey. Completing a recovery program is an amazing accomplishment, but it is not without its challenges. Many graduates struggle with difficulties in their transition back into everyday life, such as finding affordable housing, achieving financial stability, maintaining healthy relationships, and retaining employment–all of which are essential to their lasting success in society.

A Stable Environment for Success

Our Transition Home will provide graduates with the accountability and support system they need to overcome these obstacles. Our home gives them a supportive, Christian environment where they can continue building onto the firm foundation from our recovery program while safely re-entering society. Residents can strengthen essential life skills, pursue job opportunities, nurture their spiritual growth, and cultivate healthy habits that will help them move forward–not backward.

At Big Fish Ministries, we have seen hundreds of lives changed through the power of the gospel. Men and women–once stuck in the cycle of addiction, homelessness, and despair–have experienced healing and found new purpose in life. This new Transition Home assists our graduates as they transition from merely surviving to truly flourishing in Christ.

As we prepare to welcome residents into the home, we are asking our community to partner with us in a few key ways.

Help Us Turn a House Into a Home

To help make this house a home, we are currently accepting donations of:

  • New bedding (twin and full-size sheets, comforters, pillows, blankets, and mattress protectors)
  • Bath towels and washcloths
  • Cooking supplies (pots, pans, mixing bowls, and baking sheets)

These simple gifts go a long way in creating a warm, welcoming environment for our graduates where they can make a new life for themselves.

Even if you are unable to make a donation, we invite you to pray over the success of this new Transition Home. Pray that it would be a place of rest and healing for our graduates. Pray that they would feel well-equipped to face any challenges and temptations of the world. Pray that the hope of Christ would be revealed to them in new and powerful ways.

Spread Hope. Support the Mission.

Every donation and prayer supports our mission of spreading the hope of Christ to those seeking complete addiction recovery. We believe that those who are in Christ are new creations. Together, we can help our graduates to successfully transition into grounded, stable, and Christ-centered lives.
