Big Fish Ministries is excited to partner with Waterfront Rescue Mission to host the 2023 Rest & Refresh Retreat presented by the Association of Christian Recovery Ministries (ACRM) and Alabama Rescue Services Association (ARSA). Members of both associations are invited to attend this inaugural event free of charge, October 5-6 on the Gulf Coast.
This will be a powerful time for us to come together with fellow life-transformating and rescue mission organizations to be refueled and refreshed. We will step away from our busy day-to-day lives and prayerfully be reminded of the why behind what we are called to do.
The theme verse for this retreat is Romans 15:35: “That I may come unto you with joy by the will of God, and may with you be refreshed.” What better place to be refreshed than the beach?
Retreat Schedule
October 5
The ARSA and ACRM membership meetings will be hosted at Waterfront Rescue Mission, 348 West Herman Avenue Pensacola, Florida. A tour of the campus will be provided, followed by a “lunch n learn” at noon.
Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Pensacola, along with a comedy show by Peppi Garrett. Peppi is a full-time, nationally-touring Christian comedian, keynote speaker and jokester. You may have heard her on SiriusXM Radio, or as host of her comedy radio segment, Laugh a Little, on iHeart Radio stations worldwide. But most importantly, she is a lover of Jesus Christ, the One Who saved her soul and gave her life purpose. Peppi loves people and gets her thrills when something she says brings joy to others or encourages someone in their walk with Jesus.
October 6
On Friday, Big Fish Ministries will host a training day at Summit Church in Foley, Alabama. We will cover topics such as avoiding burnout, self-care and more! We will worship together, and lunch will be provided.
* The ARSA/ACRM membership meetings on Oct. 5 are for ministry representatives only. However, any team members of an ARSA/ACRM organization are welcome to attend the dinner and entertainment on Thursday night and the entire training day on Friday, Oct. 6.
