When God moves, He moves big!!

Stephania WardIt is with both excitement and sadness that we announce the departure of Stephania Ward from our Big Fish Ministries (BFM) team. As the Women’s Program Mentor, Stephania played a vital role in the recovery process of our female residents, meeting with them to review their goals and dream about the future.

Stephania recently left Foley, Alabama for Cleveland, Texas, where she is now living close to her family.

“I’m excited because God has opened a door for me to have my own apartment for the first time since 1989. I will be able to continue the restoration process with my children and grandchildren. I won’t just be a visitor; I’ll have a chance to get to know them,” she said.

Stephania will be returning to prison ministry and also continuing to work with women in recovery through Heaven’s Army Home of Amazing Grace and Trinity River Food Bank.

“When God moves, He moves big!!” Stephania said. “I am sad because I am leaving behind not just friends, but people who have become like family to me.”

During her time at BFM, Stephania helped students take a deeper look at themselves, accept their mistakes and find healing. She has made a tremendous impact on many women, and we are so grateful for her dedicated service. She will be greatly missed!

Stay tuned for an upcoming announcement introducing our new BFM Women’s Program Mentor!
